Revelation (17:4) of disgrace - insensible Donkeys, and Patriots fueled by Grapes of Wrath...

 "The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality." (Revelation 17:4, ESV)

today could be viewed from multiple angles. my interpretation of events vastly different or exactly the same as yours. typically that allowance of difference forms the uniqueness that makes life in this country exceptional. not so much today. some reading this post will never make it past the verse that sets the tone. others will scoff - "taken out of context" - or some other self-effacing (fake) platitude of irrelevance mumbled as they turn the page. it seems the moral fiber of our once great nation has been left untethered in the wind - soaked by the rain - it's once proud colors of faith and Christian benevolence replaced by muted shades of indifference. how easily - it seems - the willingness to conform...

this post - line drawn in the sand.
there will be no allegiance given to those that stand in sanctuaries of presumed jurisprudence.
my conviction. my loyalty. my submission - reserved for the one that doesn't boast to tenure - marked allocation of allowed time - to the throne,
rather, the one that owns it!
authentic deity of discern.

 lamentation

and so it goes.
these words i borrow;
thoughts entertained on visits from countries i have yet to travel -
journeys un-begun.

tonight i stand upon the balcony of suppose -
gaze longingly upon the setting sun -
surrender without reluctance my care.
what if i wake tomorrow?
what matter will it make -
these thoughts?

perhaps upon passing,
you will linger.
just long enough to take breath.
and as quickly as your exhale,
the moment gone.

apropos of disengage,
your read,
will fall along the side -
random highway -
unnamed -
and all-to-soon,
forgotten...

{for those unfamiliar with the verse above.}

Revelation 17 zeroes in on God's judgment of Babylon as the center of religious corruption in the tribulation. The target of this wrath seems to be an eclectic form of all apostate religions. This might be a concrete, single religion. Or, it might be a near-religious blending or equalizing of all spiritual beliefs. God views religious Babylon as ''the great prostitute'' that has support from heads of state. This system is both extremely rich and murderous, guilty of martyring saints. It has a past and a renewed existence as a religious-political system. Together, the political heads of state and religious Babylon battle Jesus, the Lamb, but He defeats them. The end of religious Babylon comes when the ten kings turn against her and ruin her. They destroy religious Babylon because God puts it in the hearts to do so.
